A short, plain-English privacy note.
We collect as little as we can, store it carefully, and never sell it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@idea-factory.io.
What we collect
When you visit this site. We collect basic analytics via Firebase Analytics: pages you view, approximate location (country, region), the referring link, device and browser type, and aggregate session timing. Firebase assigns a first-party identifier to help distinguish new from returning visitors.
When you send an inquiry. We collect only what you provide in the form: name, email, business name (optional), rough budget, timeline, and a product note. If you came from the pricing simulator, we also store the scope you picked so we can reply with context.
Technical signals. For spam triage we record your IP address and user-agent when you submit the inquiry form. These are held with the inquiry record itself.
What we don't collect
No advertising cookies. No cross-site trackers. No third-party retargeting pixels. We do not enrich your contact data with external databases, and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone.
How we use it
- Reply to your inquiry and follow up if there's a fit.
- Understand which pages help prospective clients make sense of the studio.
- Detect and filter spam before it reaches the inbox.
- Improve the site's structure, copy, and performance over time.
Who touches the data
- The studio (Tera Earlywine and any collaborators under a signed NDA).
- Firebase (Google Cloud) for site hosting, analytics, and database storage.
- Cal.com if you book a call through the scheduling link, limited to what you enter when booking.
- Stripe, only when a client signs a paid engagement. Never from the public site.
Each processor above has its own privacy terms. We use them only in the minimum capacity needed to run the studio.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records stick around while there’s still a reasonable chance the project could happen, typically up to 24 months after we last spoke. After that they get deleted. Analytics data follows Firebase’s default 14-month retention unless we shorten it.
Project files and deliverables for signed clients are kept for the life of the engagement plus three years, then deleted unless you ask us to hang on to them.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, export it, correct it, or delete it. California residents have the CCPA rights; EU/UK residents have the GDPR rights. Either way the request goes to hello@idea-factory.io and we respond within 30 days.
You can opt out of analytics at the browser level by using a tracker-blocking extension or your browser’s built-in “Do Not Track” signal. We honor both.
Security
Data lives in Google Cloud (Firebase) with access limited to the studio’s Google Workspace accounts. Authentication is single sign-on; admin access is tied to an @idea-factory.io email. We use TLS in transit and the platform’s default encryption at rest.
